Ohio State Airport appoints new general manager of fixed-base operator
The Ohio State University Airport announces the appointment of Mark Fletcher as general manager of its fixed-base operator (FBO), effective August 16, 2021.
Fletcher’s primary responsibilities are daily operations of the FBO – the airport’s unit which provides aeronautical services – and implementing strategic development initiatives. In addition, he will be accountable for ensuring that the FBO is positioned to provide all necessary services to customers, tenants and other users of the related facilities.
Airport Director Adam Wolf commented on the appointment. “Fletcher joined our KOSU family approximately two years ago and has advanced through progressively more responsible positions to include the airport operations manager and interim FBO general manager,” he said.
“In that short time, he has played a vital role in upgrading equipment and manuals, as well as enacting numerous enhancements to the customer experience.”
Prior to joining Ohio State, Fletcher worked in a variety of positions throughout his 20-year career in the aviation industry. Highlights include roles at Columbus Regional Airport Authority, Tweed New Haven Airport (Connecticut) and Northwest Airlines.
Fletcher earned a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from the University of Dubuque and is a certified employee of the American Association of Airport Executives for airport security. He holds a Federal Aviation Administration private pilot license with instrument rating and is also a UAS 107 operator.
