Ohio high school students are invited to The Ohio State University Airport to learn about the Taxi to Takeoff!! Aviation Academy post-secondary option program through an in-person, open-house style event.

Students and their families will have the opportunity to meet program administrators and learn more about the application process, requirements and course content. Teaching and administrative staff from local school districts will also be in attendance. The event will also include a Q&A panel (6:30-7 p.m.) of university affiliates and high school students currently enrolled in the program.

The two-semester Taxi to Takeoff!! Aviation Academy program introduces high school students to the fundamentals of the aviation industry. Enrollment is through Ohio's College Credit Plus program.

“Aviation is an exciting field with many opportunities,” said Professor John Horack, College of Engineering senior associate dean and director of the Center for Aviation Studies. “Taxi to Takeoff!! course content will focus on an introduction to the aviation industry and private pilot fundamentals.”
